The Local Veteran Employment Representative ensure that veterans receive priority & preference in their job search. This individual will meet with veterans to develop an individual employability plan. In addition, the veteran representative can provide additional help through: Initial assessment of skills and abilities, assistance with employment search & career exploration, information about the local labor market job seeker workshops, referrals to state funded training such as TAA,W-2,and WIA/WAA, and referrals to skill improvement training. The Local Veteran Employment Representative can assist veterans who face barriers to employment. If you need services outside the workforce development center, the veteran representative can refer you to an appropriate provider. Careers4wi.org provides information on career opportunities in Wisconsin. The program offers an economic landscape of Wisconsin designed to encourage users to consider career and labor market information in job search and career exploration efforts. The program integrates career exploration and labor market information to tell a coherent economic story. Careers4WI Internet site provides labor market information (LMI) in an easy to understand and attractive format. It includes an extensive list of frequently asked questions and concerns people might have about the information. The program also contains the best links to resources that One-Stop customers need and a rationale for their use.
